Terms of Use

Last updated: August 21, 2026

Welcome to Foolitics.com.

By accessing or using Foolitics.com, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with them, your best option is to stop using the site. We will try not to take it personally.

1. What Foolitics Is

Foolitics.com is an entertainment, commentary, satire, humor, and opinion website focused largely on politics, public affairs, media, culture, and the occasional absurdity produced when all of those things collide.

Some content may discuss real people, organizations, political parties, governments, news stories, public statements, or current events. Other content may contain satire, parody, exaggeration, fictional scenarios, jokes, or deliberately ridiculous interpretations.

In other words, context matters.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, content on Foolitics.com should not be interpreted as official news reporting, professional advice, government communication, or a substitute for checking reliable primary sources.

2. Satire, Parody, and Opinion

Foolitics sometimes makes jokes.

We mention this because apparently the internet has reached a point where such disclosures are useful.

Articles, headlines, images, captions, illustrations, fictional quotations, characterizations, and other material may contain satire, parody, sarcasm, exaggeration, absurdity, or opinion.

A statement appearing on Foolitics does not necessarily represent a literal assertion of fact.

When factual claims matter, especially claims involving elections, laws, health, finances, public safety, or whether someone actually said the completely ridiculous thing attributed to them elsewhere on the internet, readers should verify the information independently.

3. No Professional Advice

Nothing on Foolitics.com constitutes legal, financial, medical, investment, tax, voting, or other professional advice.

Reading an article about Congress does not make either of us constitutional scholars.

You are responsible for decisions you make based on information you encounter on this website.

4. Accuracy and Corrections

We try to distinguish factual information from satire, commentary, and opinion, but we do not guarantee that every piece of information on the website will always be complete, current, accurate, or error-free.

Politics moves quickly. Websites change. Sources get updated. Politicians occasionally clarify what they meant. Sometimes everyone involved pretends they never said anything in the first place.

If you believe we have published a significant factual error, you may contact us and request a correction.

We reserve the right to correct, update, clarify, annotate, or remove content at any time.

5. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the original content published on Foolitics.com, including articles, graphics, illustrations, logos, branding, design elements, and original media, is owned by or licensed to Foolitics.com and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may share links to our content and quote reasonable portions for commentary, criticism, discussion, reporting, or other uses permitted by law.

You may not reproduce entire articles, republish substantial portions of the website, scrape the site for commercial republication, remove attribution, sell our content as your own, or create the remarkably ambitious website DefinitelyNotFoolitics.com using our material without permission.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit rights that you may have under fair use, fair dealing, quotation, parody, criticism, or other applicable exceptions under copyright law.

6. Third-Party Content

Foolitics may reference, quote, embed, link to, criticize, praise, mock, or otherwise discuss third-party websites, news organizations, social-media posts, videos, public documents, products, politicians, pundits, institutions, and other sources.

Third-party trademarks, names, logos, screenshots, quotations, and other materials remain the property of their respective owners.

References to a third party do not imply endorsement, sponsorship, affiliation, partnership, approval, friendship, secret coordination, membership in the deep state, or attendance at the same barbecue.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices, security, or accuracy of third-party websites.

7. User Comments and Submissions

If Foolitics allows comments, submissions, messages, tips, or other user-generated content, you remain responsible for what you submit.

You agree not to submit content that:

  • is unlawful;
  • contains credible threats or encourages violence;
  • infringes another person’s intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • contains malware, spam, or malicious code;
  • impersonates another person or organization in a misleading manner;
  • unlawfully publishes private or confidential information; or
  • is primarily intended to disrupt, manipulate, or abuse the website or its users.

Disagreement is allowed.

Mockery is probably inevitable.

Threats, doxxing, spam, and illegal material are not.

We may moderate, hide, edit, reject, or remove user-submitted material at our discretion.

8. License to Submitted Content

If you voluntarily submit content to Foolitics for publication, including comments, letters, images, tips, jokes, or other material, you grant Foolitics a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, distribute, format, and publish that material as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the website.

You represent that you have the right to submit the material.

This section does not transfer ownership of your original work to Foolitics.

9. Acceptable Use

You may not use Foolitics.com to:

  • interfere with the operation or security of the website;
  • attempt unauthorized access to accounts, servers, databases, or administrative systems;
  • distribute malware or malicious code;
  • conduct automated activity that places an unreasonable burden on the site;
  • scrape or harvest personal information unlawfully;
  • falsely represent yourself as Foolitics or an authorized representative of Foolitics; or
  • use the website in violation of applicable law.

Normal browsing is fine.

Opening 14 tabs because you intend to read them later and absolutely never will is also fine.

10. Automated Access and AI Systems

Automated systems, crawlers, search engines, archival services, artificial intelligence systems, and similar technologies may access publicly available portions of Foolitics only to the extent permitted by applicable law, our technical controls, and any policies or machine-readable instructions we publish.

We reserve the right to restrict automated access, rate-limit requests, block abusive systems, or establish separate licensing terms for commercial uses of our content.

Public availability does not automatically grant permission to reproduce or commercially republish the entire website.

11. Advertising, Affiliates, and Sponsorships

Foolitics may display advertising, sponsored material, affiliate links, or other commercial content.

When appropriate, we may receive compensation if you click a link, purchase a product, or interact with sponsored content.

Commercial relationships do not necessarily constitute endorsements unless we expressly say otherwise.

Sponsored content will be identified when required by applicable law or our editorial policies.

12. Availability of the Website

We may modify, suspend, discontinue, redesign, accidentally break, intentionally improve, or otherwise change any part of Foolitics.com at any time.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

Sometimes servers fail.

Sometimes software updates fail.

Sometimes somebody changes one tiny WordPress setting and discovers that it apparently controlled civilization itself.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

Foolitics.com and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.

We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the availability, accuracy, reliability, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement of the website or its content.

Use of the website is at your own risk.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Foolitics.com and its owners, operators, contributors, employees, contractors, affiliates, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your access to or use of the website.

This includes losses resulting from reliance on content, third-party links, website interruptions, unauthorized access, data loss, or decisions made after reading something on Foolitics and deciding, against all available warning signs, that it sounded like an excellent idea.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

15. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Foolitics.com and its owners, operators, contributors, employees, contractors, and affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the website, your violation of these Terms, or content you submit that infringes the rights of another person.

16. Privacy

Your use of Foolitics.com may also be governed by our Privacy Policy.

If we use cookies, analytics services, advertising technologies, mailing lists, or other systems that collect information, those practices will be described in the applicable privacy or cookie disclosures.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time.

When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and may provide additional notice where appropriate.

Your continued use of Foolitics.com after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those Terms to the extent permitted by law.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

The defective provision will be interpreted or modified as closely as legally possible to accomplish its intended purpose.

Unlike politics, one broken section does not automatically require shutting down the entire operation.

19. No Waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not mean we permanently waive the right to enforce it later.

20. Governing Law

These Terms will be governed by the laws applicable to the operator of Foolitics.com, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where consumer-protection or other mandatory laws require otherwise.

The specific governing jurisdiction and venue should be identified here once the legal entity operating Foolitics.com and its principal place of business have been established.

Suggested final language before publication:

These Terms are governed by the laws of [STATE / PROVINCE / COUNTRY]. Any dispute relating to these Terms or Foolitics.com will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in [CITY / JURISDICTION], except where applicable law provides otherwise.

21. Contact

Questions, copyright concerns, correction requests, or other notices regarding these Terms may be sent through the contact information published on Foolitics.com.

Please include enough information for us to understand the issue.

Sending an email consisting entirely of “YOU PEOPLE ARE EVERYTHING WRONG WITH AMERICA” may successfully communicate your emotional position, but it is less useful for identifying the article in question.

Important: This Terms of Use page is a general website draft, not legal advice. Before publishing, the governing-law section, business identity, privacy practices, advertising practices, user-submission rules, and any jurisdiction-specific consumer requirements should be reviewed for the actual entity operating Foolitics.com.
